As I mentioned Monday, I am back into the painting groove. Who knows how long it will last, but I’m excited. It’s been a long time since I’ve sat in front of my easel, but art is nothing you can force (unless, I guess, it’s your full time job). I hope this is the first of many sessions. I have the paint and canvases – so why not?
Once the sun went down last weekend, I set up my station in my random corner of my apartment to paint, initially, just one small piece. I turned on the tunes, poured another bourbon and got to work – with no initial plan in mind. After one, I quickly thought of another and THEN another. Because the two needed a third friend. Wild, right?
Also >> for the newer readers – check out my art tab at the top ^^ that highlights all my past pieces. And there’s a link to my etsy shop at the bottom of this post.
First up, is my little pumpkin friend, the first in this ghoulish trio.
Next up is mr. bat. So me, right? He’s a little melodramatic but I believe he’s likable.
Lastly, I painted a crescent moon (and spider buddy). The spider was a suggestion of my momma. She gets me.
All are acrylic painted on 8″x10″ canvases. So do tell, how you like my ghoulish trio? Even if it’s not for you, you can’t deny they are all Halloween ready! Do you have any suggestions? Requests?
