Apple cider vinegar, also known as ACV, is a tiny little miracle worker. And due to the current state of icky-ness I feel, I’m hoping it works a little bit of magic. It is a completely natural product and is made from apple juice, which is fermented to hard apple cider. After that, it’s fermented again to turn it into apple cider vinegar.
From regulating your bod’s pH to using it as a cleaning agent – it is definitely a household staple. This bottle of goodness can also be used for cooking and – my favorite – used as a shot of all-things-healthy in the morning. Some even claim that it can aid in weight loss (hey, it’s great for the ‘ol digestive system). That’s more than enough reasons for me. Every morning before my coffee, I put a tablespoon or two in a large glass of cold water (and sometimes mix in a little fresh squeezed lemon). It’s a great way to get the day started. Oh – and don’t forget to use a straw. That acidity is not good for the teeth. Another important tip – buy Bragg’s brand of organic ACV (pictured above). It’s not a brand push as more of a “you’re welcome” because this one tastes the best. It has that stuff called “The Mother” which you’ll see floating at the bottom. That’s the good stuff. Don’t be scared; just shake it up.
This infographic has a good snapshot of some more benefits. What are you waiting for? Go buy a bottle! Oh and in case you can’t find it or think it’s only sold at those fancy grocery stores (true), you can find it at any grocery store near the vinegars (hmm, duh). You’re welcome.
