It was rather fitting this song came on the radio while my friend was on her way to the airport. New York City was the destination and we were pumped. Six of us made our way to the city and had an itinerary full of work for some and play for others.
Three of us arrived last (late on Tuesday) and hurried to the hotel and then out the door again. We went to a fun placed called Avenue, where there was great music and way too many people. Fun times were had.
Wednesday was the most mellow, at least during the daytime. Pizza, beer, walking, shopping. That about sums it up. Shoe shopping kinda took over for a while with Deedy in the Meatpacking district. Which is one of my fav spots in the city. Lunch at The Standard Grill. Then wasting time until a late night at Ph-D at the Dream Downtown hotel. Music, drinks, dancing, Pauly Shore sighting and staring at the city skyline from the club.
Then Thursday was a fun day on the Upper East Side. Shopping on Madison made me feel like I was on Gossip Girl. Oh I miss that show. Anyway. Besides the fact I can’t keep up with Deedy on the shopping side, it was definitely fun to tag along. I may have gotten a couple things I knew I could stuff in my suitcase. PS sorry for the scary wooden feet below – I’m kinda obsessed with those sandals at J.Crew. Also, see that ring? That is a new ring just for me bought at the beautiful Blue Tree boutique. Replacing the old; time for something new. Last on the list was Magnolia Bakery (a NYC tradition). No explanation is needed for that yummy goodness.
Til next time New York. My wallet may need a break from the city, but I promise I’ll try to be back soon.
