There’s a thing about me and fitness – I’m either totally addicted or I’m at a total sloth level. Lately I’ve been more of the latter category, if I’m being honest. I’ve really been searching for something to really kick me back into that adrenaline of an endorphin high (because they make you happy and happy people don’t kill their husbands).
So when I saw the sign for CycleBar® adorn a building right by my office, I knew I had to investigate. Even better? The amazing staff held an open house CycleBar preview for me and my fellow blogger babes. In case you’re not in the know, CycleBar is the only indoor cycling franchise in America and the first of its kind in Central Florida. It’s a new concept that offers a high energy workout in a concert-like atmosphere (I’m talking, there’s sometimes a DJ in there – friggen awesome).
Last week, Pamela and I got a tour of the facility, which is chic from start to finish. Walls adorned with black and white and red all over – I could clearly just hang out in there all day. You can sign up online, pick your bike then just sign in when you get there. There’s lockers and a cute station with hair ties in case you forgot (that is me always). They provide the shoes, water bottles and towels – all you need is you!
I also love a couple other things about this studio – it’s no membership required and points style where you just pay per class. Also rad? You can track your stats. I’m a bit competitive and you see all your data on your bike as you pedal and THEN they email all that to you so you can keep track of your progress. Even better? They also send you your class’s customized playlist. This music freak is pumped about that!
So enough rambling – I have some good news for my local followers! CycleBar opens on September 29 and will be celebrating their grand opening by conducting CycleBar® Blast, offering 60 free classes for the public over 10 days. Up to 2700 individual rides will be available! Advance registration is required at http://winterpark.cyclebar.com/. You can begin scheduling rides on September 22; free classes will be held from September 29 through October 9. Paid classes begin on October 10. So what are you waiting for – go try it out!
