So I’m a little old school when it comes to working out at home. Between workout DVDs and streaming videos from my iPad to the Apple TV, I am always looking for a good workout where I don’t have to leave my living room. (Sorry to my downstairs neighbors when I do cardio.)
Why not share some of my favs? From yoga to ballet, they all have either (or both) toning and cardio in one nice workout.
Beach Babe by Tone It Up – this DVD rocks. It has 7 workouts that either focus on one area of the body or are a total body toning/cardio experience. From 10 min videos to a 40 minute option – there is something for even the busiest of people. And they just came out with a second version. Already purchased.
Body by Bethenny – this is my go-to. Quick and easy but you still feel the burn. Her commentary is funny and it’s yoga. My fav.
Ballet Beautiful – Whether you stream these or get the DVD (I stream them) – they are a great workout. Toning to the max without being overwhelming. As a former ballerina, I just love these exercises.
Yogalosophy – Oh this one is a fav. Now you can get the workout that Jen Aniston gets – from her trainer Mandy Ingber. Mandy is amazing and her workout is tough but do-able.
Bob Harper’s Yoga for the Warrior – Sounds intimidating but it’s not. Ok it’s a challenge but what workout shouldn’t be? It was only $5 when I bought it on his website but on Amazon it’s still a steal.
