A more lighthearted post for today… I think it’s needed. Forewarning that my negativity and overall blah-ness (is that a word?) is in full force. Ha. So…my Monday…
You know you’re going to have a great week when your Monday starts with being called in for jury duty. That’s sarcasm, folks. It was probably the last thing I wanted to do on this fateful Monday, but what can you do? Not a darn thing since I’m not a convicted felon or have any outstanding warrants.
I get to the courthouse early and avoided lines and snagged a good seat by an outlet and a table. Score. They called number after number as I sit. Wait. And wait some more.
Finally before lunch I get called. Wait in line. Go up elevator. More lines. No talking. Almost in courtroom and bam – we are dismissed. Go downstairs to make sure we are dismissed for the entire day and not just this case. And…only good news of the day = we were outta there! I put in my time. You’re welcome, Orange County.
Sincerely, Juror 630
L: Big ‘ol room where we got to hang out. Look at that outlet. I was lucky enough to score that. // R: This was my set-up all morning. At least I could get some work done. This was also before they yelled at us to wear our badges AT ALL TIMES.
