For us locals, the touristy parts of Orlando are usually not on the top of our list of places to go. I mean, that’s aside from our usual Disney or Universal pass moments. And I’m on a hiatus from those things, so visiting said touristy parts is something fun to do from time to time.
This is where the Orlando Eye comes in. And more specifically, Tapa Toro. You locals have probably heard of Taverna Opa – well this gem is from the same family. And I may like it even more. Tapa Toro is a tapas style restaurant, which may be my favorite way to dine. Noshing on multiple small plates lets you try multiple things without the commitment of a Cheesecake Factory size mega meal. I mean who can finish those meals anyway?
But I’m getting off track.
Tapa Toro is open every day starting at 11am and has happy hour from 3-6pm everyday, with some awesome drink and food specials. Scroll down a little bit to see the champagne sangria I got, which was completely deadly. We also noshed on some patatas bravas (not my fav, but still good – I’m picky) as well as some meatballs (yum) and other yummies.
So what are you waiting for? Go ch-ch-check it out!
