Happy New Year! It’s officially 2014 and we’ve all hopefully gotten over our food and drink induced comas that required a full day of recovery yesterday. Which can I just thank Orlando for being a rainy start to the year because it was perfect for laying in bed all day while watching Happy Endings marathons on VH1. It doesn’t get much better. Any. Way.
New Year’s Eve. The fateful holiday that is the most terribly overrated and yet, everyone feels the need to have plans because it sets the tone for the whole year. Whoever made up that nonsense should be taken out back and shot because that’s just way too much pressure. If one happens to have plans and one happens to want to be with that special someone (or friends) to ring in the new year, then so be it. Or if ringing in the new year means going to bed early and sleeping in – then that is perfectly acceptable in my book too.
But this year was one of the crazy ones. Crazy fun that is. Plans were made ahead of time and we were growing in numbers. Rooms were booked at Disney and the Magic bands were in the mail. All we needed was the year to just friggen end already. Epcot was the destination of the day and night.
All I can really say can be shown in pictures. We had a full photo stream (to the stream!) by the end of the
night morning and from who I saw the day after – no one was hurt and everyone had a great time. With the exception of losing Tina. The elusive Tina. Glad she kept coming back to us though.
A big shout out to all my friends who made this new years like none other. I’ve had some others that may have topped it, but this one will definitely go down in the top 5 to date.
