I am not sure how it happens, but so often life just gets away from me. Maybe it’s my packed schedule (my fav) or just the lack of organization, but next thing you know – I have a myriad of memories to share and then poof, it’s a week later!
I first of all, wanted to say thank you for all the love yesterday! It wasn’t the easiest post to write on a Monday (or any day, to be honest), but my love of my town runs deep. Good things ahead!
Speaking of good things, I had some fun events last week that I just had to share on the bloggy blog! And since they didn’t happen on the weekend, I couldn’t really recap them, weekending style. C’est la vie. Don’t worry Biana, I’ll be back next week!
Tis the season for holiday parties, am I right? On Wednesday, my work had their annual holiday party, which was a blast per usual. Held at the Dr. Phillips Center for the Performing Arts, we gathered on the third floor, in a fun space overlooking downtown. Seriously look at that view. And I brought Dawn who is my forever holiday party date, haha. We had a blast!
^^How adorable is my team? I mean, the best!
I may have neglected to include the photos where we were all a hair intoxicated. Saving lives over here, one post at a time.
Fast forward to Thursday. One day later and still going strong, what else is new, ha. Dawn and I were joined by Nicole and Brian for a night out to see Lauryn Hill. Our concert family was back together again!
Unfortunately, Lauryn wasn’t that great. She had some good openers, the place was packed, but she didn’t take the stage until 11:30pm (and the show started at 8pm). After just a couple songs, we bolted as our tired butts had to get home to get up early for work the next day. Boo. But at the end of the day, sleep wins out over a mediocre show. When all is said and done, we had a blast anyway – always fun with this group!
And there you have it – fun holiday parties & celebrations, all during a fun-filled week last week. Next up? Gift ideas as well as my weekend recap finally. I mean really, better late then never. ;)
