Hey my little waffles! It’s another Monday and another weekend come and gone. I can’t believe we’re into April already and I’m continuing to say, “Where is the year going?” Another day, another weekend. We lucked out with some amazing weather, probably the last of the spring-like sunshine. And while I had myself a good old fashioned Saturday funday (that’s a thing right?), I laid low yesterday. But, most Sundays, you can usually find me at a local spot for brunch.
Orlando brunch is a serious thing. I think it’s quite serious everywhere, but I’m just talking from experience. As I dub myself a brunch connoisseur. Of course.
My home city recently received the special treatment, with the opening of this Miami-based restaurant called Bulla Gastrobar. With its opening in October, Bulla has become this fun and lively restaurant in Winter Park, just a few miles from downtown Orlando. From happy hour to lunch and dinner, brunch is yet another great option in this relatively new, local hot spot. I swear, every time I visit the place is packed. And brunch was no different.
With a specific menu curated just for brunch, you can find everything from their twist on a benedict, to the classic french toast (pictured above). We couldn’t end the day without some meat and cheeses – because yes.
Another not-so-insider tip: happy hour is the hidden gem of this place. Held from 5-7pm, all house wines, beers, and liquors are half off. That includes bottles of wine! I recommend grabbing a bottle, with some meat and cheese for a fun after work treat.
Bulla Gastrobar is definitely on my short list for favorite Orlando restaurants!
