First of all, it feels a hair weird to be recapping Christmas while we have just a few days left of 2016. But, it must be done. I am SO ready for the new year. Seriously with George, then Carrie, and then her mother Debbie as well…this past week has been horrid to say the least. But instead of focusing on that sadness this very moment, let’s recap a happy day – Christmas!
Similar to much of America, I spent most of my long weekend sleeping, drinking, eating (way too much of all of the above). First, a few photos of the exciting kid-filled morning, starting with mimosas (for the adults) and a yummy breakfast (for everyone). This feast was followed quickly by a lot of present opening.
Then, the day was full of a lot of relaxing, movies, and laughs. We also had a little drone flying around the house and some hockey in the front yard. A gray, but love-filled day.
Mark and I had our annual Christmas selfie. Because tradition.
^^ I had to include these funny photos of Fawkes jumping in my lap. She’s a sweet pup and it was comical to see her try to fit on top of me.
This post wouldn’t be complete without our family’s annual holiday photo. We ended up taking it a day late and are missing Everett (Amy’s husband). Maybe we’ll photoshop him in later, ha.
I hope everyone had the best holiday with people you love :)
One more day until the weekend. Come on 2017 – we’re almost there!
