Bourbon, love, good food and even better company. I think that’s all I really need in life. We’re on night 3 of the Kentucky Bourbon Affair and at this point, you’re either wondering if this will ever end – or praying that it never will. Wink wink. I can’t help it – this bourbon girl is reliving her travels and can’t stop, won’t stop. Next up? An event hosted by Michter’s. I mean – who doesn’t want to check that out?
This night’s event was titled, “An Evening with Michter’s in the Garden.” And really, it was just that. We arrived and were immediately greeted with a beverage before being escorted to the garden behind the iconic and historic Whitehall mansion. The group gathered in a large tent outside before dining inside for the remainder of the evening. You could say we had a pretty good time taking photos in this gorgeous garden. I couldn’t stop snapping photos – and with that setting, I needed no excuse.
^^ haha, oh me.
So once inside and seated at dinner, we were greeted by a four course dinner. We had a cocktail pairing with each of our courses, which were made by some amazing local bartenders (I mean, these people have won awards, people). It’s safe to say that all of us were stuffed by the end of the night – full of love and bourbon. I can’t deny that Michter’s is making their way up my list of bourbons. I mean, after tasting some 20-year, I’m starting to get spoiled.
Next up tomorrow? The Woodford Reserve Flavor Experience. I’ll be rounding out the last few events between this week and next. Maybe I just don’t want it to end. Denial is the first step. Wait, that’s not right ;)
