Now, many of you have probably dropped off by oh, day two of bourbon postings from this girl. BUT, for the few that remain, I have one last post about this tasty beverage. Because why not keep this week consistent?
I thought I’d share my top 4 fav bourbons of the moment. In case you’re in total confusion and need some help picking out one as well. These tours may or may not have influenced my decisions. Hint: yes they did.
1. Russell’s Reserve Single Barrel – This small batch bourbon is aged 8-9 years and comes from the “center cut” of the rick house – that’d be level 4 – the middle – for ya’ll non-bourbon drinkers.
2. Maker’s 46 – A spicier side of Maker’s Mark – for those that enjoy the traditional drink, this is one to try. The vanilla and caramel really make this beverage a staple in my home.
3. Bulleit bourbon – A fantastic blend of rye, corn and barley make this bourbon perfect either neat or in a mixed beverage. For you to decide.
4. Jim Beam Single Barrel – I guess I like my single barrel bevs. What can I say? Anyway this bourbon has definite hints of oak, vanilla and caramel. The perfect blend.
Ok kids. I’m getting out of work early today and starting happy hour at oh, 2 pm. Holiday weekend after all. And it’ll be near 100 degrees. Yay. So plenty of pool and beach time are in my agenda. Hope you have a great – and safe – holiday weekend! Catch you Tuesday.
