There’s something to be said about tradition. Especially when it comes to the New York variety, aka my second home. If you’ve been around here a while, you’ve seen my multiple visits to Brooklyn (BK) and NYC – at least a few times a year. It fills my heart (or as Vicki would say, my love tank).
So I’ll take you through my NY travels for a couple days this week. Because tradition. And family. And NY in the fall…because there’s nothing else like it.
Friday was the first full day in the city and Melissa and I went to our favorite lunch spot – Ponte Vecchio, where we got our favorite meal – mussels and a salmon salad with a glass of white. Yum right?
We met Melissa’s husband and grabbed an end-of-day drink at this rad spot – Prime Meats. Then went back to the house to snuggle with this cute face before his older brother came home from school.
At the end of the night, we hit up sushi and stuffed our faces with yummy rolls at our favorite sushi spot in Carroll Gardens. Yum!
Phew. Day one down, another to go. Why are these trips always such a whirlwind? Be back tomorrow with some beautiful fall perfection, Brooklyn style.
