Because that about sums up my weekend. I
think know last week needs to go down in history and forgotten…so let’s move forward, shall we? And since it’s been a while, I thought I’d do a baby weekend recap while I’m at it. Mostly because I’m excited about my purchases from Sunday.
So Friday was naturally, an early happy hour, followed by mucho amounts of sleep. Sleep is necessary when stress is at a level 10.
Saturday was a different story. I ran my normal errands – from cat food to bourbon to groceries. Not lying about all that. I even helped a nice girl pick out some bourbon for a friend’s graduation. I do what I can to help those that aren’t as obsessed with that tasty Kentucky drink as I am.
By the time the evening hit, I was on my way to the Yard House, which finally opened up in Orlando. I know locals will think I’m crazy, but I-drive is really trying to upscale itself. So far so good, I-drive. Anyway, two friends and I watched the Derby and cheered for our respective horses. I didn’t pick a winner (story of my life, harr harr), but not all was lost because I had mint juleps which make this girl happy.
Sunday. Well Sunday was another productive day. I had to get a few things at Target, which meant walking downstairs. Tough life. Anyway, I paused near the Nate Burkus line as per usual and remembered he had these new pillows that I HAD to have. After searching every damn isle and coming up empty handed (but found a fab basket of his I lugged around happily), I asked customer service for help. Couldn’t purchase them online or that would have been tres easy, but rather, Mr. customer service man searched all local Targets to find my beloved pillows.
FINALLY he found two – only two – at my old Target, of all places. So I drove on over there and picked up those plush beauties to take home. They look pretty good on that couch, wouldn’t you say? Side note: I didn’t pick that wall color. That was a lovely surprise I got upon renting this place.
So that’s my weekend. How was yours?
