When I wake up on any given day, I am pretty certain of how it will go from start to finish. I am not a planner by any means, but I usually have a general direction for life at the
old age of 33. But this past weekend, I woke up to the most random Saturday…and one of the best in a long time. Sorry (kinda not really) for the abundance of selfies in this post. That’s what alcohol does, kids. And it’s why the day needed it’s own post!
Let’s take it from the top.
Original plan: wash car / attend birthday party / attend charity event. Done.
And here’s how it went down…
Before noon, I get to Audi for a car wash and totally got hit on before I left by a cute guy. Talk about good start to the day. So at that point, I was already in a better mood. After that, I made my way to Target where I snagged Mossimo long sleeve tees in 3 colors – for $8 each. Score again. (I spent 10 minutes looking for the shirt on the site and failed. I cannot search for anything on Target.com without just wanting to throw my laptop out the window.)
I headed home on a pretty good high until well, I start trying on dresses and that went out the window. Hello diet, we meet again. ANYWAY. I end up picking a dress (on the left) that was too casual for the event I was attending, but said ‘fuck it’ anyway. I should have picked the one on the right.
At this point, Dawn was here and we head to the way other side of town to Leyda’s surprise birthday party. We’re talking 45 minutes, each way. It was all worth it to see that girl end up so surprised at our appearance. Even if we ended up driving longer than we were there.
We haul ass (and miss an exit) back to my side of town for the charity event where I immediately feel like a nana. But we’re working it. We scope out the situation, get some food and double fist some Yuenglings. Class class class.
We danced, we drank, we left at quitting time (11pm). Dawn and I made it to my local bar to grab a final beer for the night.
Then we get a few texts from our fav duo Nicole and Brian. After a completely lit convo, we decided to join them! They were only 5 miles away AND were playing darts = my favorite. And this is a sample text from the chat. I can’t even explain this one, guys.
We snapped in said Uber. Had some lovely drunk convos with the driver.
Oh and then the following happened. Not in any particular order. Fireball, darts, karaoke x2, more beer, a bet, blurry selfies, and lastly…a closing down of a local bar.
And that, my friends…is how you spend a proper Saturday. I think I’m still recovering from this one.
