Now onto day 2.
You may note Laurie and I are running through our post titles via Wedding Crashers lines and quotes. This is what we do. Quote movies. Try and keep up.
What else is there to do on a Friday but visit Maryland? Havre de Grace was the destination. I know nothing about this cute little town by the bay but it was fun to visit. But I guess I do know that it’s situated at the mouth of the Susquehanna River and head of the Chesapeake Bay. Pretty views and nice to walk around with the kiddos. Also, a car ride that long requires day drinking. Don’t worry, we were responsible and only had one of those purple concoctions you see below. Only person that got drunk was David. Milk drunk.
Then there was downtown Lancaster. Back to PA. A night on the town for just me and Laur. (I’ll give Matt a shout out for his amazing daddy duty while we celebrated the birthday girl. Ever appreciated.) We did this thing called Taste the World. Walking and sampling tour of some local joints. Some were yum (smoothie). Some were horrible (shall not mention). But – it was a fun time and we got to dress up a little. Afterwards we hit up a new-ish restaurant called Hunger and Thirst. Good craft beer and decent food. Go there, PA people.
Tomorrow is our regularly scheduled Whatever Wednesday but Thursday we’ll wrap up this whirlwind adventure with days 3 and 4. I’ll give you a hint. It involves Manhattan. And a winery. Get pumped up.
