And anyone that disagrees with that statement is lying through their teeth. Sometimes a daughter just loves hanging out with her mom and then there are times when a daughter just plain needs her. And maybe this visit was a little bit of both.
It had been far too long since a mom visit occurred. See, she lives in Louisville. It’s not just a hop, skip and a car ride away. Ok, it is, but 12 hours is not my idea of a fun car ride. Before I knew it, the ticket was booked and I was on my way to pick her up from the airport.
I was the absolute worst blogger when it came to taking photos during said visit. But hey, that’s ok. Here’s some rando’s I took along the few days she was here.
A fun lunch at Segafredo. Which is also downstairs from my apartment. It’s tough living here, guys.
Then there was a lunch another day in Winter Park, with a little shopping and a visit from a friend.
Then I drank bourbon out of a skull shot glass like a boss. While mom made me pizza. Why is this whole post centered on food already? Oy.
Maybe, just maybe I got an inordinate amount of canvases because I was clean out. And a girl’s gotta hustle when it comes to the artwork. Jess – I scored yours too! Project is ON.
A dark lip and some friend action happened one night. And new stools! See that island? Didn’t it just scream for the addition of stools? I’m so current now.
I introduced my mom to pho at my fav place in town. That stuff is the dog’s tuxedo.
Next thing you know, she was gone and Jack was left wondering where his fav relative went.
Thanks for the memories, sweet momma. Can’t wait until the next visit.
