So much of this year has been a complete shit show. The jokes about 2016 are everywhere. And while it’s funny(ish) to joke, it’s a weird reality that it actually has been a garbage year. But sometimes it’s good to just pause, take a look back and look for that good stuff. The memories where laughs were abundant and love was abound. This year has been a doozy, but I just want to take this moment, this day before Thanksgiving, to share a tiny list of all that I’m thankful for right now.
I’m thankful for…
Orlando. That photo above sums it up. The view from my home…my home of Orlando. We had a very tough year but we’re going to make it out alright. Dare I say it – stronger than ever.
My main man, Jack. I type this and watch him curled up on the couch. We’ve had a fun 11 years together and he’s just a ball of fun.
My family of course. This includes all of you crazy kooks – near and far (and every state in between) – all love love love. PS my brother visits next week! I’m so excited!
Pamela! Best friends through blogging- who would have guessed! She’s the Daisy to my Peach. I love all our adventures and cheers to many more!
My health and happiness. It’s not always easy but I’m finally getting on the workout train and I feel grateful I can. And I’ll only grow stronger. In every way.
All the music. I’ve gone to more concerts lately and I feel back to my old self. Music is love is life. Next concert is in two weeks! Then don’t worry, I’m likely taking a break until the new year. Well, maybe. Ha.
My soul sister Dawn. I never stop laughing when I’m with you and you have my back every step of the way.
The ability to travel. I’ve done a little bit of it this year – more than the last – and I can’t wait for what the future holds in this department. So grateful for the ability to go on some of the trips I have.
My most bestest friend and better half of the critics. Laurie, you got me into blogging and oh so much else in life. I am so thankful for our friendship and that we’re still in each others lives as much as we are.
Art. It’s my happy place. And even though it comes in waves, it’s a part of me.
And all of you! I don’t know where I’d be without all of you amazing readers. I appreciate the amazing friendships I’ve made and I love following along in your lives as well!
And that’s what I’m thankful for right now. I’m sure I didn’t catch it all! But at least, it gives me all the smiles to look back on all the love and joy I have in my life right now.
With that said, I’m off to pack and get on the road mañana. Have a wonderful, amazing Thanksgiving. And if you’re not celebrating, a simple cheers to an amazing rest of the week! Catch ya on the flip side.
