Hey fam! It’s the start of a new week and back to the grind for most of us. I don’t know about you, but I had a fun weekend. From drinks out with my girlfriend to a night full of music and beer in my hood – I must say it was another one for the books.
But instead of chatting about all that, I’m going to take you back to the one prior – where I spent my Siesta Key weekend.
Now I had been saying for ages that I needed a bit of a break. I decided to take a few nights and go somewhere solo – something I hadn’t done before. As someone who craves being around people, I knew this was something I had to do.
I got there on a Saturday, wandered around, got a bit sloshy, and enjoyed a beach walk.
I spent my Sunday focused on the sand. Beach days are the best days…even if I only lasted 4-5 hours. And don’t worry – this pale girl slathered herself with SPF 50 so no tans here. Beach hair, though – that was a win.
I decided to take a day off on Monday so I could just relax, sleep in and casually make my way back to Orlando.
I need to give a special shout out to all the sunsets – there’s just nothing like it when you’re on the west coast.
All in all, I learned a couple things…
…being alone can be difficult but worth it.
…I didn’t realize how much I needed it until I got home.
…sun and sand cures pretty much anything. Except pedicures. Note: Pamela – we need to go stat!
…always make time for yourself.
And that’s all she wrote. Check back in a couple days for my photo overload of the museum I visited on my way back home from this trip. It was one of the most beautiful museums I’ve laid my eyes on.
