I am back, my little starfish! While I am in the middle of some post-festival blues, I’m happy to be back home, and back to the blog. I wasn’t quite sure how to even recap this whirlwind music festival, but I figured full-day Hangout Music Festival reviews were just what the doctor ordered. Plus, I love looking back on all the shenanigans each day. Don’t worry, I’ll be sure to also post some tips in the next week or so for any of you who are curious to attend in the future!
So let’s get to this recap already right?
Dawn, Marci, and I were off. The road trip went down Thursday eve + Friday, and it wasn’t too bad. We made it to our condo (VRBO for the win!) around lunchtime on Friday before getting ready to head to the other side of the beach. (More details on the best places to stay in a future post.)
^^ our view. Gross, right?
And off we went ;)
I think at this point I was on sensory overload. From the moment we walked in, there was a million things to do – from stations full of glitter and painting to a slip n’ slide down the beach, all the way to an arcade and puppy petting station. Oh yes. Did I mention the wedding chapel? Well I must admit I saw a wedding or two throughout the weekend!
^^Andrew McMahon and the Wilderness.
Other bands we saw included: Charli XCX, Bishop Briggs, Le Youth, MGMT, and Weezer.
We ended up heading out before Dillon Francis, but it was a fun day indeed. Friday, you had perfect sunshine and many memories. Every band we saw was stellar. Day 1, you did us good.
