It’s still weird that it’s been almost a week that we were leaving for Islamorada in the Keys. But that’s how vacations go. They take forever to arrive; you plan and organize and pack and then poof- they’re gone. If you followed me on snapchat [cheshirekat1022], you probably saw a lot of my shenanigans as well as some stellar snaps.
So part 2 starts on Sunday with a trip to Bahia Honda State Park. As my dad started his career in a state park in Key Largo [and I grew up in one in PA], it was especially nice to visit another one I’d never been to.
Not your average state park right? Later that night we headed across the street to Lorelei’s Cabana Bar and Restaurant. The best sunset in town they say. And they didn’t lie. People practically fought each other for tables. Good thing we got there early! <<tip
Then we celebrated America a little bit with rum and glow bracelets.
Monday was our last day in paradise. Sniff. We hung out on the beach (and in the water where a crab decided he hated me) before heading to lunch then out the door for the drive back. Oh and we saw some adorable iguanas too. So cute!
