I know it’s been a minute since I went to the shore, but it’s high time I recapped all the fun places to eat in Siesta Key. Wouldn’t you say? Food is important right? Drinks are included as a food group, don’t you worry…I’ll cover those too!
All of the spots I visited were fun for both single peeps (moi) as well as couples I’d say. So why not get right to it? Here’s my fav spots I went to.
The Cottage Siesta Key – located in Siesta Key Village, this spot had kickass cocktails as well as fresh yummy food. I had this watermelon jalapeño concoction which I quickly became addicted to. I also noshed on the wonton tuna tacos. Highly recommend.
The Hub Baja Grill – While I only went here for drinks, this spot had some good food on the menu. I was told to get the frozen drinks (as one should at the beach), so I went for the classic piña colada. It was perfect after a hot day. I should note that this spot seems to have live music almost all the time – and good live music. The porch + music + people watching = a fun night.
The Lobster Pot Restaurant – Ok definitely go here for dinner. You won’t regret it. While they aren’t open on Sundays, you can get in here any other day of the week and nosh on some fresh seafood. I got the fiery scallops which, wait for it…are scallops topped with blue crap meat as well as a spicy roasted red pepper cheese sauce. Are you drooling yet? Because you should be.
Sun Garden Cafe – Go here for breakfast. They have some nice outside seating (which I clearly took advantage of). The coffee flows and the breakfast is solid. The sweet waitress even let me take a coffee to go. Made my morning.
The Old Salty Dog – This guy is kinda famous I’d say. I happened to go on a day full of football games – which is when I realized it was the perfect spot for a pint and some sports. I had some fried food (dog bites basket) with some beer and I had zero regrets.
Not pictured: LeLu Coffee for some morning coffee/fun cafe vibes.
Need more Siesta Key?
Have a great weekend, everyone!
